Impressed by the proud caterpillar's boast that she will turn into a butterfly when she grows up, a polliwog determines to watch the caterpillar very carefully and turn into a butterfly too. Jack Kent wrote and illustrated about 40 children's books during his career and illustrated nearly 20 by other authors. He began his career as a free-lance commercial artist, created a comic strip "King Aroo" which was syndicated from 1950 to 1965.
